What can CEREC® Dental Crowns do for you?

With this complete, in-office system, we can create long-lasting ceramic crowns and more—in a single visit, in about one hour. That means a healthier smile for you in less time.

How do CEREC® Dental Crowns Work?

With this complete, in-office system, we can create your custom crown or other dental restoration in one visit, in about one hour:

  • We capture an image of your tooth with a digital scanner.
  • A 3D model of your teeth and the new restoration is created on the computer.
  • The restoration is then fabricated from a ceramic block on our milling machine, right in our office.
  • The dentist places the custom-fit restoration a short time later, during the same visit.
Why it’s better for you

Eliminates the unpleasant impression process

The digital camera captures a full-mouth image and sends it to the computer in seconds. No biting down on impression material for several minutes, no numbness, and no jaw ache.

No follow-up appointment necessary

We create and insert your permanent dental restoration in one visit, letting you get on with life—eliminating the need for an uncomfortable, inconvenient temporary crown.

A long-term solution

Proven in dental practices millions of times over to offer lasting results, it’s trusted technology developed by Dentsply Sirona, the world leader in dental solutions.

Looks and acts like a real tooth

Unlike many conventional dental crowns that use a metal base (which limits translucency) and can have a dark edge, a CEREC® dental crown looks and feels like your natural tooth. And it most closely matches the hardness of a real tooth, helping prevent wear and tear.

Preserves more of your natural tooth

Only decayed or damaged tooth surface is removed, preserving as much of the healthy tooth as possible.

Solutions that make you smile

Ceramic Inlays and Onlays

Ceramic cavity fillings provide a higher quality alternative to ordinary gold, amalgam, and composite resin fillings— and offer a natural color, which makes them popular.

Ceramic Veneers

For chipped or discolored front teeth, ceramic veneers are an esthetic solution—and using this system, they’re also a more convenient one for you.

Ceramic Crowns

For severely decayed or damaged teeth, ceramic crowns virtually eliminate the gum irritation and impaired taste that often occur with conventional metal crowns.

Digital 3D X-Rays

Cone Beam Computed Tomography, or CBCT, is a specialized 3D digital imaging device used in advanced dentistry. The CBCT uses a rotating cone-shaped x-ray beam to create a 3D view of the inner anatomy of the head and face. The insight from 3D images assists in diagnosing diseases and planning treatment, such as dental implant placement.

Most often, CBCT scans are used to further evaluate conditions diagnosed by your dentist. The sharp high-quality images unparalleled insight for our dentist. Our dentists can visualize bone structure, tooth position, soft tissues, and nerve pathways in detail.

CBCT Assists with Implant Placement

The level of insight is so accurate, CBCT scans are a particularly useful tool for planning dental implant placement. Even more, evaluate if any preparatory treatments are needed, long before the actual procedure takes place. As a result, our doctors can accurately create a plan for your implant surgery.

Our Burlington office uses the Sirona Orthophos SL 3D digital x-ray. Some of the dental issues that the CBCT scan can assist with include:

  • TMJ
  • Skeletal evaluation
  • Dental implant planning
  • Airway examination
  • Assessment of abnormal teeth
  • Measurement of dental tumors
  • And more!
Digital Radiographs

Digital radiograph, better known as digital x-ray provides a better experience for patients. The radiation that a patient is subjected to from tradition x-rays is a concern for patients. Comparatively, our digital x-rays is approximately an 80% reduction that patients are subjected to.

Additionally, digital radiographs provide a higher quality image for our dentists to review. In other words, a digital x-ray may provide insight into an issue that has just started. Besides, the image is immediately available on the chairside monitor in your treatment room.
